Background Information:

A few members have expressed some confusion about how to access the "Members" section of the website.  This article will hopefully eliminate any confusion.

• The new Michigan Association of School Social Workers website (located at http://www.masswmi.org/ - the site you're at now) has among other features a "Members Only" section.  This section of the website was developed to provide content to Members that is not for public distribution, and to create a communication hub so the Association can better communicate with the membership.
• "Members Only" content will be available via the "Members Menu" visible in the left column of the website once successfully logged on.
• When the "Members Only" section was created, a unique login was created for each member based on their email address and a random password.  These logins were distributed to each member via email.  CLICK HERE TO VIEW EXAMPLE of email sent to MASSW Membership detailing their login details for the new website .
• The key information contained in the email are the "Site Login" (initially set to be your current email address on file with the MASSW) and "Site Password" (a randomly generated 8 digit number). 

Where and How to Login:

The Member Login (shown in the illustration on the left) is the proper place to use the Login and Password provided to you in the email.  

Username Field:  This is where the "Site Login" as detailed in your welcome email goes.  This is initially your FULL email address as detailed in your welcome email.  A few users have tried to enter their real name (i.e. the name your parents named you, shown as "Your Name" on the welcome email).  Your full name was put on the email just for informational purposes - the Site Login is what you want to use.

Password Field:  This is where the "Site Password" as detailed in your welcome email goes.  This was given as an 8 digit number we randomly generated.

Once you are successfully logged on, you do have the ability to update your name, site login (a.k.a. username), password, and any other contact details you may want to provide the MASSW.  Please note that all contact details are held in strict confidence, and are only utilized for the purposes of communication within the MASSW Association and it's membership.
