The MASSW Conference Committee is looking for your expertise to make this year’s conference even better. The deadline for submitting workshop proposals to present at our conference is APRIL 1, 2010.
The MASSW is a non-profit professional association whose members are charged with the responsibility of delivering school social work services to meet the needs of all children in our schools. As an organization we actively promote the educational and professional growth of our members to ensure the highest standards of practice are upheld. Every year, MASSW hosts a professional development conference for its members. Our next conference will be held from October 28-30, 2010 at Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire, Michigan.
Attached you will find a call for proposals form that you will need to complete and return. The information to return with the proposal is on the form. Copies of all presentation handouts will be made available to all attendees in electronic format. Once your proposal is accepted, you will receive further information regarding your presentation and conference information in general. On the request form, we ask you how you would like the room for your presentation to be set up. We attempt to honor requests; however, space at the hotel may limit our options.
