Thanks to all members for your support during my two years of serving as President to Region K. It has been both rewarding and challenging. Now, it is time to elect new officers for the 2011- 2013 term. We will present a ballot in March since the January ballot was incomplete. I encourage each of you to consider how you can support MASSW Region K. We need leaders who will fill the positions and help the group to grow. Please renew your membership and encourage inactive members to join. There are 68 active members in Region K. Each of you have skills to share with this organization. At the state level, there are members who are protecting the successes we have made in the field of School Social Work. Remember when gains are made for MASSW, we all benefit. Please do your part today.
We will honor the School Social Worker of the Year for 2011 at the March meeting. Thanks to Dawn Kayno-Roberson, Vice President, Jill Champagne, Secretary, Jeff Davis, Treasurer, Elaine Demasi and Laura Angera, Coordinators, Kim Cole and Walt Adamczyk.

Thanks to everyone for your support of the officers and for keeping an active membership with MASSW. We are always looking for new members. If you know of job opportunities please let us know. There are many school social workers who are laid off due to these economic times. Please keep them in your thoughts.
